This home sits on a rare undeveloped lot in Rye.  While the property was lovely, natural and wooded, with several mature Oak trees, it was extremely flat.  Challenged with keeping all runoff onsite and eliminate impact to neighboring properties, the site features lawn-covered rain gardens and underground infiltration systems.  But this infrastructure is not on display, rather you see  the homeowners had a clear vision for how their home and landscape should feel: clean, elegant, and effortlessly simple. They envisioned an outdoor environment that functioned as an extension of their home, balancing everyday living with relaxation. The landscape reflects this aesthetic, bridging traditional and modern styles through a calm, paredback approach. A restrained green and white palette sets the tone throughout, allowing the architecture and landscape to feel timeless.
